“This database program is all encompassing, providing a complete program for scheduling, archival, inventory management, expenses, equipment utilization, and quality assurance. It even incorporates biologic monitoring data, image files, and sedation/anesthesia data. It is an excellent program for tracking all service operations, and provides up-to-the minute data for QI or research. Importantly, it links easily with hospital information systems, and the technologists find it very easy to input data
(compared with previously tried databases)” stated Dr. Patricia Burrows, Medical Director of Interventional Radiology.”

“In 1998 we began working with Esh Software to enhance the database. Today, the software has become a significant part of our program within the Image Guided Therapy Lab and Diagnostic Imaging,” stated Dr. Paul Babyn, Radiologist in Chief. “The upgrade to the newest release of the system will allow us to study the use of the database more effectively across Diagnostic Imaging. It will give us the means to study the results of all procedures that we do while giving us detailed case costing. Through its many pre-built reports, we will continue to be able to provide un compromised quality patient care, and at the same time, we will be able to research better ways to manage our operations more cost effectively,” commented Dr. Babyn. |
